Outcome based education- Theory and
Practice
This book is intended to facilitate the
design and implementation of the outcome-based education system for the curriculum
users/stakeholders, inclusive of the students. The purpose of this book is to describe
the process in developing different components of the OBE system like management tools
(mission, vision, core values), curriculum outcomes, learning-teaching strategies,
rubric, evaluation process, and planning for Continuous improvement. The different types
of heis such as universities and colleges offering under-graduate/ postgraduate programs
in faculties like arts, commerce, and Science; health Science institutes; engineering
colleges are considered in writing the chapters and examples in this book.
